The purpose of the Russian Weldex Welding Cup championship is to promote the prestige of the working profession of a welder, to identify and encourage both welding specialists and welding students with outstanding professional knowledge and skills.
Each participant will have to participate in two mandatory stages within the framework of the competition: testing theoretical professional knowledge using test cards and performing welding tests. Separately, it is worth noting that the time limit limits the possible number of participants in each category.
This year, for the first time, the championship is held in the Laser Beam Welding (LBW) category: handheld laser welding and handheld laser cleaning. Don't miss the opportunity to demonstrate your skills and professionalism in four categories of the championship:
Manual electric arc welding (MMA);
Manual TIG welding with a non-consumable electrode in a protective gas environment (TIG);
Semi-automatic welding with consumable wire in a shielding gas environment (MIG/MAG);

The winners will be announced at the award ceremony on October 8 as part of the business program of the Weldex 2026 International Exhibition of Welding Materials, Equipment and Technologies. The championship is held by ITE Group together with the Moscow Inter-Industry Alliance of Chief Welders (MMAGS) and ELSVAR Firm.
