Acceptance of applications for participation in the VI competition "Women in Welding" has started

The purpose of the annual professional competition "Women in Welding" is to celebrate the achievements of women professionals who have made a significant contribution to the development of the welding industry and are an example for colleagues.

Over the years, its participants were: design engineers, technologists, chief welders, operators of automatic welding and cutting machines, controllers of technical quality control services for welding in production, teachers of welding disciplines in educational institutions, heads of enterprises, divisions and departments in companies engaged in welding production and production of welding products, as well as art welders.

Every year, the interest of the professional community in the development of women's leadership is growing, and employees of traditional industries are striving to be recognized for their achievements.

Participation in the competition is free. To send an application, you need to fill out the form on the website, choosing one of the six nominations:

• "Woman Marketer" (recognition of outstanding achievements in the effective promotion of goods and services of the welding industry).
• "Woman Engineer" (recognition of outstanding achievements in the development and implementation of advanced welding technologies, equipment and materials for welding, cutting, cladding, soldering, heat treatment);
• "Woman Teacher" (recognition of outstanding achievements in training personnel for welding production in various industries);
• "Woman welder" (recognition of outstanding professional skills and competencies).
• "Woman Artist" (recognition of outstanding achievements in artistic welding).
• "Woman Educator" (recognition of outstanding achievements in the effective promotion of the welding industry to a wide audience and conducting active educational activities).

It is important that a woman working in the welding industry herself can apply for any nomination. Also, an organization, company or institution can nominate its representative by filling out the application form:

By the end of September 2026, the jury will determine the finalists of the Women in Welding competition. They will receive an official invitation from the organizers of the Competition to the award ceremony, which will take place on October 8 as part of the business program of the Weldex exhibition. The winners will be awarded diplomas, awards and valuable gifts. And their photos will be published in leading Russian industry publications, as well as posted on the website of the Weldex exhibition of welding materials, equipment and technologies.

The Women in Welding competition was noted by the Worthy Memory Charitable Foundation as an important socially useful project. For organising the competition, ITE was awarded the Worthy Deeds Public Recognition Award.
