This year, for the first time, the championship is held in the Laser Beam Welding (LBW) category: handheld laser welding and handheld laser cleaning
You can apply for participation until September 29 on the championship website. Participation in the championship is free.
One of the stages of the championship is the performance of welding tests. For manual laser welding (LBW), the following weldable samples are used: welding of two pieces of a standard shaped pipe with a wall thickness of 1.5-2 mm, a square section with face dimensions of 60 x 60 mm and the length of each cut of 200 mm in a T-shaped connection with the preliminary execution of the tack operation and laser cleaning of the welded joint area.
You can take part in the championship and enter the Laser Beam Welding (LBW) nomination in two categories:
"Professional welder" (working at enterprises of any form of ownership in any branches of production, having a valid certificate for the profession of welder);
"Student-welder" (students of secondary and higher educational institutions studying the professions of a welder and a welding engineer).
All key events of the Championship - the main competitions and the award ceremony - will be held at the Crocus Expo IEC as part of the 25th International Exhibition of Welding Materials, Equipment and Technologies Weldex from October 6 to 8, 2026.
The championship is held by ITE Group together with the Moscow Intersectoral Alliance of Chief Welders.
